CHILDHOOD SERIES
Childhood Series is an ongoing body of paintings focused on childhood as the most formative and psychologically decisive period of human life. Rather than approaching childhood through nostalgia or idealization, I perceive it as a space where fundamental emotional structures are created — fear, isolation, vulnerability, emotional defense mechanisms, and the future ability to form relationships and perceive the world.
In these works, I explore the long-term consequences of emotional states experienced during childhood and their projection into adult identity. The paintings do not illustrate specific memories or narratives; instead, they examine emotional residues and psychological imprints that remain deeply embedded within the individual over time.
The darker visual language of the series emerges naturally from the subject itself. Through figurative imagery, symbolic distortion, and introspective atmospheres, I attempt to create psychological spaces balancing between personal experience and collective human memory.
Childhood Series functions as an open-ended authorial project investigating the relationship between memory, trauma, identity formation, and emotional inheritance. The work reflects my ongoing interest in the hidden psychological structures that shape human perception and behavior throughout life.
